1st Squadron F16 Fighting Falcon "Stingers" in the Mach Loop...

April would see a visit to the UK for the F16's of the 1st Squadron "Stingers" to their home for the week at RAF Marham. With forward air control exercises and some low level planned, the hope was that they wanted to see the fantastic mountainous scenery Wales, and in particular The Mach Loop had to offer...

The first sortie took place in the late morning.
These were shot from the Eastern ledges of Cadair Idris...
The Belgian pilots flew the Mach Loop like veterans...
And after all the excitement of the USAF Raptors earlier in the afternoon, the Belgian pilots treated us to a few late passes.
